NYCOMICON 2010; in the practice of "If you have nothing good to say… say nothing at all" I haven't recapped. It wasn't dire but it was a mess, which is something I've come to expect. Elisa Lau | Pinkimoon, table-mate, artist, designer, food-wrangler extraordinaire certainly improved the experience. But it was the handful of friends and fans who found me out that made it worthwhile. Gracias, Thank You, Merci, Arigatô, Danke, etc! Truly. :D

Next time I'll be over on the NYAF; I don't know about anyone else but I felt more welcoming there, more organic, festive even!

I know, location-wise, NYAF was put upon, but the ComciCon side was just a mess, a wash of lookie-loo's and industry people flooding the talent, vice-versa. It didn't make for a very creative or happy environment to cultivate... did I mention that I love Elisa? Really, truly, we're meaning to do this again just with much more of a joint effort and NEW items! [On SHOP NEWS I will keep you posted!]

Loads of my prints are outdated or on their last run. That being said PRINT-SALE!! as low as $1, because;
  1. I'd like them to have happy homes. This will be the lastprinting for more than a few of these.
  2. this will cover cost, did I mention NYCOMICON was a bit of a bust,
  3. it will buffer future endeavors, as I endeavor awesome things on behalf of the Future~

In no particular order, these are the requests I've received and made room in my crazy-schedule for:
To Do List
  1. Bleach Commission
  2. FF7 OT3 Sketch
  3. Dragon Design
  4. AI sketches
  5. Portraits for Frances
  6. Hanabi+Konohamaru sketch
  7. Doodle for Evonne
  8. Genesis (?)
  9. Character(s) for Michael
  10. Character(s) for Davey

I'm moving this very as-we-speak-end and have the cable/phone/internet guy due in at the new place between 2-4pm on Monday. So this is where I need to cap it for now; I'll still take commissions request well after the house move, so if you missed your chance not to worry.

I'll soon be begging for your attention again when the next Vet Bill comes in. XD
Still haven't decided on a theme for 2010 -->GO, Vote People!! Make up my mind for me ^^;

Went m.i.a. for perfectly legitimate reasons. Specifics )
tl;dr - new house + fixed cat = Art Sale!;
  • $10 busts and/or chibis
  • $15 sketches
  • +$5 for additional person(s)
  • +$whatever shipping might cost should you need it sent.

I'm can only take requests till Friday. That's when the phone & cable guys are supposed to transfer things to the new place. So, accessibility is wonky after then.

(Feel free to link to or re-post accordingly, you know if you like saving kittens, feeding artists and shiny new homes!)

Also, to keep me busy whilst in Florida, avoiding a family wedding, I'll be doing another round of $10 Sketch Commissions. ($15 if you'd like it sent to you). I need something to keep me sane when access is limited, alcohol is few & far between and family members are a-plenty. Instead of capping off slots, I'll just be just be taking requests for one week. After that I'll praying the buffer lasts.

(FYI - outstanding commissions, of course, have priority. ^_^ Take pity on a city girl and forward/pimp/link to your friends. Please.)
It has been a while, hasn't it. I'll be booking a flight in a couple of hours, but I need the extra $200 to cover taxes. Its insane that taxes is nearly as much as the flight.. I suppose that because its so last minute.

In any case; this means EMERGENCY Art-Sale. I can do twenty $10 sketches... or something of that variety.

Color would be minimal. Traditional media only (meaning pencils, pens and whatever copics I can fit into the overhead) since I can do those on the road and when I get back for MangaNEXT.

If anyone is crazed enough to still want chibi's, I can work that but it'd have to wait till next month when I'm near my computer.

Pay Pal only, (to bhanesidhe @ ohshush . com) since time is of the essence. Any takers? Really, only have three hours to sort these finances out ^^;
Slots Have All Been Filled. Thanks for the interest! )

. . . when the need to work is stronger than the need to eat.
. . . when the need to create obliterates the need to sleep.
. . . when the need to laugh makes it hard to breath.
Is there any other way to live?
Saying that, I should admit I now also need pills to get to sleep. (Not sleeping pills as that would be logical, but these neat little back pain pills that wipe me out one minute and 6 hours later put a spring in my step, which is an added plus what with the New Boots! XD )

I've got to finish my portfolio this month, and somehow consolidate it into an on-line THING. Not fun. We'll see how that goes.

So, I'm capping commissions and putting an End to the Art-Sale on the Tuesday 15th.
Want art... NEED art? There's you're window. I'm looking at you [ profile] sisterpandora, [ profile] ciceronianus & [ profile] jlh

Meanwhile I now need Excedrin since they've started jack-hammering the pavement on my street corner, which living on the ground floor means they're drilling through my bedroom windows. :(
It's been, what four days, and there is already a need to report progress. That's the crazy thing about New Years, too much pressure. Is it really any wonder the winter-holidays have the greatest suicide rate... WHICH is why I'm sending my holiday cards in February.

Why so late?
  1. I'm designing them this very as-we-speak-end.
  2. I might not like y'all and your festivities as much you think.
  3. I'm really-really lazy/busy/drunk.
Take your pick.
I'll collect names/address the moment they're printed. Hopefully this will hopefully lead to less collective crazy than last years cards. I soo don't want to relive that debacle.

But the other thing year ends and year beginning bring about is that sense to get your shit sorted. Since I'm ordering my 2008 calendars Monday, I wanted to take a head count of anyone wanting to order one as well, speak now or forever do something other than speak. I banged out three options this year.
Option 1 )
Option 2 )
Option 3 )

Reply to this and I'll totally hook you up. [All prices, except Cafepress include shipping.]
Tonight, I will hunt and bag me a new pair of Skechers Boots, as is my personal New Years tradition since age 15. :D

I hope all your traditions prove to be just as joyous, fruitful and bad-ass!
