And I know what its like to have a pet who turns out to be female. We had a mouse called Roger (always makes me sad to think about him... since he was being used as a tennis ball by some youths... until he was rescued by my uncle) who after he died we worked out he was probably female since he did not smell as bad as male mouses are meant to.

Impossible for me to think of him as female though :)
