Larry Nightingale: "The angels have the phonebox," that's my favourite, I've got that on a T-shirt.

Geek! O Sucha geek. Posted because last week I promised [livejournal.com profile] otemen I'd take at least one picture when it arrived. I took, maybe 20, and in much more than half of them I'm giving myself the "Evil-Eye". In a few of them I was visibly swearing...in a couple of others came off looking sort of coy, but I know that look too well. It's the "3 Seconds Till I put My Foot Up Your Ass" smirk, that I can never quite contain. These four are tolerably enuff. I really Do Not Enjoy taking photos.WARNING! Photographic evidence of said Steve Moffat loff [Dr. Who related dorkery] ensues! )

Thoughts on an Alternate Career Choice

Too tolerant jlh and I spent nearly three hours being held hostage by her cat Veda last night this morning, that was until in we used an old garbage pale and stealthy sweeping motion to finally get her into the carrier, much in fashion of Looney Tunes. Patient and dulcet tones only go so far. Admittedly, I feel bad for manhandling any living creature, but only for all of a minute, because they don't know to hold grudges and it's not like they have the capacity to know what's best... although they behave like they do. [Especially Cats, with their knowing gazes.]

But moments like these make me wonder, how exactly it turned out that I'm responsible for rearing children. I don't mean to sound self-doubting or in anyway reflect the feelings of my family who pride repopulating the planet above all else. But it does seem peculiar that I didn't get into lion-taming or animal training of some sort. Some Evidence;
2 Hours in:
Clio - What do I do now to get her in the carrier?
Vulz - Why don't you just head toward the front door? It's likely she'll follow. If she thinks your going, she'll want to go with you.
But then again it's not so mysterious -
2 Hours ago:
Jmom - What do I do to get her want to use the potty?
Vulz - Why don't you just head toward the bathroom? It's likely she'll follow. If she thinks your going, she'll want to go with you.

But babies, they get clever and start with the talking back. I don't like that. Whereas animals, especially domestic one pretty much stay at toddler mentality for their entire career as a pet. Perhaps, I have missed my calling.

More Evidence:
-Caught a mouse single-handedly Sunday morning because my cat[s!] couldn't be bothered.
-Trained the kid's, recently discovered to be female hamster, accidentally named Humbert Humbert, to be handled by children and not bite or piddle.
-Rescued and restored a snapping Turtle, I then affectionately named Suicide. Donating her a year later to the local school, where the unexplained nickname "Suie" remains to this day.
-Released all spiders and mice trapped living to the open field three block's away. Yep, this means walking all the way there, arms extended and hands clasped shut, like a great big goof.
-Also, I tend to give animals very weird names. ^^; [Suicide (turtle), Mischief (my dalmatian), Misery, Id & Omen (my cats), Humbert-Humbert (hamster), Furball (The Iguana) Etc.]
-The last point is a winning argument as to why I should never be allowed to have children!

I asked around. Victor says that I'm just a Firebird and protective like that. I think that's just a dig at my hair color. Aria says I'm more like a Lioness, what with the mice catching and having three kitties. I think that's just a dig at the curly red mane I have going on this humid-humid August. Really its all about my hair apparently... Which reminds me, remember when I said there wouldn't be pictures of the fairytale ball. I lied. Pictures to come eventually, maybe.

In other news; I miserable. I've unexpectedly caught a cold this week. The second time this summer... I guess, you'd think it'd be more expected by now. Off to bed.

Quickly Adds: If a picture says a thousand words, this ones screams "Pet Psychiatrist!" I'm not imagining this, am I?

Jan - Week 1

Jan 1 - Ended the year with good peopleStarted the year with good people. There are worse ways to live. This should bring the end to my three year of bad-luck. Here's to hoping, I don't think could put up with another year like 2006.

Resolutions are for lamers. I like wishing on the new dawn, it's sort of surreal to stay up till sunrise just to stare 2007 down the throat and reminding yourself, it goes up from here.
AddendumFIRE!-stuffs.

Jan 2 - Amherst is holding me hostage. But I've drawn INTESTINES!!! [<--First Time Ever!] I'm all about the being productive, not to mention, after last night, my alcohol tolerance rose through the stratosphere.

Jan 3 - My son put Violator on my hardrive. JOY!! Let the fuckers try as steal it from me a seventh time.

Jan 4 - Day off. Donning my bloodiest attire. Myself a otemen and a jlh are off to see Evil Dead: The Musical!! We've tickets for the splatter section <3

Jan 5 -

Came across the bestest-best New Year's photo of me EVER! Happy & Merry all-around! The song "What the (fuck was that)?" is on repeat in my brain!
Jan 6 - KIDS! So many kids. Our house is full up, with peoples and art. I have so much art left over from last years cons. Not my art but actually good art. I've framed a half-dozen and placed them about accordingly, which makes my house feel a bit more like home for the first time, probably since that bought of bed-rest last spring. Cleaning would be cathartic if kids didn't muss it up immediately after.

Jan 7 - Day off, Watch soo much Avatar it made me want to see Hook. Watching Hook made me want to see American Dragon Jake Long, which in turn makes me want to watch Avatar. Such a terrible loop, I've hid out at my lil Sister's to drink reminisce about my TV Husband. Damn sky-high tolerance!

[Photo Post] Sept - Nov re-cap, links, pixs, stuffs...

I'm having one of those fucking rare and crazy morning, where you dragged your ass in at sunrise and dropped dead on the stoop, wake-up oddly energetic not enough hours later with crazy hair and mushed up make-up and you can't help but misguidedly think "Hey, this looks pretty good actually".

Okay, maybe that doesn't happen to everyone. That why I said "fucking rare and crazy". In any case, this post is for the Sisters Curry, both of which I promised I'd not talk shit and make with the recap.
Let me explain...no, there is too much. Let me sum up... )
I am fucking tired. . . . School sucks, work kills, love y'all but if I EVER hear one person complain about me not posting pictures of myself I will kill. Do you understand me?!

[Photos/Live Show] Suicide City @ Trash Bar

Suicide City; every time I see or hear this band I find myself more and more enamored. They are all-points adorable. They were the kids first Punk/CBGB's Show. They were the brass ring in the carousel of random that was AnimeNEXT2006. And this past Saturday they are the best reason EVER for me to bitch about my knee pains.

Being elf-sized has a lot of advantages, one of which is being the perfect size for a member of a punk band to lift you up and swing you around his head. Good-times, good-times.

Random & Stuffs

There is the longest-standing argument "Chicken or the Egg", which we all know.
Lesser known and second to that is, the argument "does art Imitate Life or Life imitate art?"

Emptying my camera [of the 800 Some-Odd Pix] and came across this )
Which bears a striking resemblance to this )

It amused me enough to get out of my on-line lethargy but not enough to distract me from photo editings and homeworks. Will post many mass o'Photos soonish. Kiddumz, Birthdays, Wig-Wearing goodness. Other stuffs. Back to work-work. Ho-hum.

To [livejournal.com profile] ali_wildgoose & [livejournal.com profile] cassandraclaire; I wish the need hadn't risen to smack your boy's upside the head. No hard feeling, right?
To [livejournal.com profile] emsariel & [livejournal.com profile] tromboneborges; I am sorry ... that I didn't wear my gloves, although [livejournal.com profile] jlh was amused at hearing someone[s] get 'cuffed' so soundly. Bygones?

Photo's - Kaijumaru's Naruto Cos-Play

'Kaiju' meaning 'Monster' and 'Maru' meaning guy or boy. . . at least within the contexts of a name.
My Jeffrey, also known as my "Naruto Art!Bunny Muse", decided to rename himself 'Kaijumaru' as he is nifty beyond words.
I fan-girl him, hard, and therefore thrust upon him my many otaku indulgences. That being said...Naruto Cos-Play [crappy images therein]

Mine, not yours. TOTALLY PWND BY M3 XD!! )
