*Dear World

14 minutes before tonight's episode aired I'd officially divorced myself from all things "Heroes" related. All interest is dead. Discuss it in my personal presence only if you're welcoming the foot you will get right in the middle of your face.

No explanation will be forthcoming, [although if you'd spoken with me in the past week you've likely to have seen this coming.]. Understood?

...and so ends my April o' shiiit, not with a bang but with a big ol' "And Fuck You, Too!"

*This post is intended to spare [livejournal.com profile] otemen inevitable pains.

Golly. Well, at least I have company.

Yeah, but I would've liked for it to have been reasons like the plot was hokie or filled with holes or that I had seen it to its end and therefore deemed it irredeemable. Death by hype is embarrassing and not at all uncommon with me. It's why I no longer read Harry Potter, why I didn't watch Firefly while it aired, why I tune out on Bleach when the word is mentioned. It's not a Fandom thing either, when its own popularity strangles all interest I could have held onto. I'm just not interested in the competitive and small-minded nature it brings out in the common man. I'd rather watch porn anyway.

I guess, that's what celebrity is anyway. A big ol' magnifying glass to make society at its worse look glamorous and unattainable.

I can't stomach it.

I feel ill just thinking about it and I want to strangle my roommates.

That was a bit broad wasn't it? At least I'm not the type to screech at my f-list, "CUT TAG YOU BASTARDZ!!!"

Earning my Indifference is a talent sometimes, a blessing most times and life-saving always.

Well, I would rather not earn your indifference. And yeah, Heroes and SPN seem to have taken over my entire flist. I mean, how can I talk, as I've disappeared down my own K-hole called American Idol, but still. That's why it's nice to have a diverse flist.

I feel this way about "Chasing Cars." I love Snow Patrol. I very much enjoyed their last CD. But "Chasing Cars" is easily the weakest song on that record, the one that could have been on the previous record, and to hear that getting totally overused by anyone wanting to make some kind of emo video statement (from fangirls to American Idol) fills me with woe.
