14 minutes before tonight's episode aired I'd officially divorced myself from all things "Heroes" related. All interest is dead. Discuss it in my personal presence only if you're welcoming the foot you will get right in the middle of your face.

No explanation will be forthcoming, [although if you'd spoken with me in the past week you've likely to have seen this coming.]. Understood?

...and so ends my April o' shiiit, not with a bang but with a big ol' "And Fuck You, Too!"

*This post is intended to spare [livejournal.com profile] otemen inevitable pains.

Yeah, but I would've liked for it to have been reasons like the plot was hokie or filled with holes or that I had seen it to its end and therefore deemed it irredeemable. Death by hype is embarrassing and not at all uncommon with me. It's why I no longer read Harry Potter, why I didn't watch Firefly while it aired, why I tune out on Bleach when the word is mentioned. It's not a Fandom thing either, when its own popularity strangles all interest I could have held onto. I'm just not interested in the competitive and small-minded nature it brings out in the common man. I'd rather watch porn anyway.

I guess, that's what celebrity is anyway. A big ol' magnifying glass to make society at its worse look glamorous and unattainable.

I can't stomach it.

I feel ill just thinking about it and I want to strangle my roommates.

That was a bit broad wasn't it? At least I'm not the type to screech at my f-list, "CUT TAG YOU BASTARDZ!!!"

Earning my Indifference is a talent sometimes, a blessing most times and life-saving always.

Well, I would rather not earn your indifference. And yeah, Heroes and SPN seem to have taken over my entire flist. I mean, how can I talk, as I've disappeared down my own K-hole called American Idol, but still. That's why it's nice to have a diverse flist.

I feel this way about "Chasing Cars." I love Snow Patrol. I very much enjoyed their last CD. But "Chasing Cars" is easily the weakest song on that record, the one that could have been on the previous record, and to hear that getting totally overused by anyone wanting to make some kind of emo video statement (from fangirls to American Idol) fills me with woe.

I didn't pay much attention to the show, despite being a former comic geek. I don't watch much network tv anyway. Plus there was that annoying ass catchphrase that ran into the ground pretty quickly. Here's one for you: Save the show, drop the dumb catchphrase.

Speaking of comics, I think I asked about the free comic day in New York a while back. I've been so busy with things I kinda forgot about it. It doesn't look like I'll be able to make it up for that. It's this weekend, isn't it? I guess I have to come up to New York some other time.

From: [identity profile] bhanesidhe.livejournal.com

Yeah, Free Comic Book Day is this weekend, but even as of last night, I have no idea if I'm working and if I'm not, where I'm likely to end up, since even if I'm not working I'm supposed to show face at a march my sister is going to be at, not to mention some awkward fucking brunch with cousins and the like. People. Obligations. They're all poo! Right now, I'd just like to call it quits and stay in and take a three day long bath. Not that that's likely to happen either ^^;

On another note: even the word "Catchphrase" is annoying.

I can't get into it.

I think I'm going to wait until the show's over, or at least a few seasons in before finding someone who has all the episodes and just watch it all in a few nights.

From: [identity profile] bhanesidhe.livejournal.com

I think waiting till its over is the sanest safest bet. I don't know if I'll bother, but I DO regret I hadn't done that to begin with. Because right now, I just want to tear the tongue out of every face that mentions the show likes it's of biblical import. XP

Uh, thank you for the warning. Since I am far away at the moment, I should ask why while that makes it hard for you to beat the crap out of me.

(I found the latest episode spectacularly too easy in a number of ways, and the incoming Watchmen ripoff highly irritating, but I'm still going to be watching.)

From: [identity profile] hlaron.livejournal.com

Hmmm, "understood" was underlined as well as italicised. Forget my asking why. *hides*

To think, I even went out of my way to warn you! Distance just makes the plot for your demise grow crueler.

This is random, but I have more Batman Begins sequel casting news for you, in case you haven't heard it. Katie Holmes isn't coming back for it. Instead, we get Maggie Gyllenhaal.

(Damn, I thought that might be the case. On top of the hug thing the other week I'm in serious trouble. Eeep.)

From: [identity profile] misstuesday.livejournal.com

I'm not even sure if we have Heroes in Israel because I don't really watch TV, but just the big fuss about it is making my head hurt.

(BTW. In case you didn't catch any of my other thankyous, here's another personal thankyou for the insanely pretty calendar. <3x550000)

I notice most, if not all, things naama-related, but I'm stealthy and scheming. I'm already half done with your next giftus. :D

TV is horrible. Simple as that.

Hello! I know this is a minor intrusion, and I do apologize if this is spamming to you or unwanted, a thousand apologies.

BUT, I do notice you are a frequent commenter on Holly Black's livejournal and a fan of her and her work. I've made a livejournal community dedicated to Holly and her beautiful work. It's brand new! I made it to have book discussions about the books and Holly herself. If you are interested, I'd LOVE if you would join. I would like to have the community as active as possible. If not it's alright, I just hope I didn't intrude much!

Here is the community, if so: [livejournal.com profile] tithefaerietale

Hope to possibly see you there, ♥
