Do you know what? I'm actually surprised with how much I liked the place. Genuinely even.
I hated the stairwells but I always do so that really doesn't decide anything for me. I think this case it was mostly because of the ridiculous neon lighting but for someone who has knee-problems and avoids them they were manageable, navigational enough even. But the levels were really ace, like these half-floors above and beneath actual seating/standing floors so there was always a place to lounge and order drinks from. Staff was ridiculously nice even though they were obviously hired because they looked the part. I think they meant to be scary but damsel-in-distress mode worked waaaay to easy on them. Normally my preference for live show is to stand but will all the options. I sort of wish they have clubs nights instead of just show nights, because just the exploring and nesting was a highlight of the venue.... or maybe I'm wrong about that and I would have actually forced my way to the front row had it been a band I knew. Either way, I think that's a good sign considering how finicky I am about venues to begin with and my willingness to attend there again.
