I has this --> thing. Can't even relive the ridiculous drama that came about trying to receive it. Still...

HAPPY NOW XD
The Lil Coco, who took this picture, is ill today. So we're cuddled up under quilts and watching David Tennant's Hamlet. (The man does give good crazy...)

Jealous much?

If anyone, anywhere, does anything nearly as cool as getting my designs tattooed on them, PLEASE share.
Stuck. Sort of speechless. In grinning power-crazed creative amusement here. And I could really get used to it.

I mentioned Mel and I deftly managed to obtained entrance to see Holy Fuck @ The Music Hall. There was scheming involved for this and a bit of plowing through a naive teller. I felt it was a decent gig, with well more than decent booze, but in retrospect things get blurry. As my dear Vic here demonstrates;
Vul: I had a great time tonight. Saw a band I really liked!
Vix: don't really care.
Vul: no, honestly it was cool. And they were headliners with no vocalists. It was neat!
Vix: oh. That IS interesting.
Vul: don't sound so surprised. Anyway, I was impressed, but you know me. Any decent enough bass-line and you may as well stick me in a cage to dance for all the spic I'm worth.
Vix: Now I don't like this band.
Vul: well, I liked 'em. But no one else danced-- fucking New Yorkers. Just standing around nodding like a bunch of inebriated pigeons. Felt like an idiot afterward, regretted nothing, but still.
Vix: So, this band made no one dance with you... I like this band.
Vul: what a fucking lousy night.

I opted out of AnimeBoston this year because there were to many things planned for that very Jesus-weekend. Now, feeling a bit guilty, i wanted to explain myself, there is just too much so I'll try to sum up.

Staying NY bound, I still managed to see COS-players act the idiot, watch loads of art at the Met and Whitney Museum's bicentennial, catch a free (but excellent) show of a band I never heard, walk what feels like a million miles within the confines of a circle (perhaps more technically a Square) and come away with some decent swag. ^_^

...did miss the friends though.

Inspired by this Anti-War!Vodka advert (which is the best part of any revolution really, to claim "we've made change because the booze made me to") we took to the streets. http://laughingsquid.com/pillow-fight-new-york/

Working on my portfolio and organizing the LA thing is making me hella-anxious, and I HATE putting hella as a prefix. I mean there is only so much Val-Poking allowed; not even halfway done and I'm fit to burst!

Its not 'false modestly' or a 'flaky procrastination' thing. I'm just not vain enough for this much focus. My house is full-up with Val!Shit and it's quite a lot to sort though... so I've been making sure to have lunch with the construction crew on my front stoop every afternoon, to assure them I'm not annoyed, that I'm just photographing them because I'm weird that way and to ask their opinion about pretty much everything I own.

The Benefits of this Stir-Crazy Creativity:
1. I've re-opened my DeviantPrints account! The issue with art thieves... well, DeviantArt will never be known for their brilliant customer service, they're just too indie for their own good. But the hideous humongous watermark is certainly an improvement to doing, you know, nothing.

2. Fun commissions! Is there any better distraction than selfless productivity. I think not. Plus, it makes people happy. That's a karmic good I can do with more of. ^__^

3. iTunes conspires against me as a sign the universe is laughing and now you can too!

4. There is no four, instead here is some photographic evidence of said Val!Explosion care of my niece Crystal's camera working skills.
