Prizes Have Been Sent.
2010-Prizes (BEFORE)
2010-Prizes (AFTER)
I sincerely believe its unlucky to start a New Year with things left undone, except of course it's a complicated dance shipping to-and-fro just before Christmas. Lucky me that I managed it... but then lucky me always manages :)

Now, that my couch is finally clear, I'm thinking cat-nap. y/y?

(*happy sighs all around*)

Amidst the "2011 Story-Book Theme" calendar scheme I put two others together. I'll finish the story-theme (I am Determined!) but its nice to start Twenty-Elevenses with an abundance of creativity, frivolity and a promise of regularity.

A jewelry designer contacted Cassie a while ago about doing a limited edition run of rings, necklaces and wrist cuffs based on the Mortal Instruments, the go ahead was given and she opened an Etsy shop: www.hebelmet.etsy.com

Cassie and I turned down getting any portion of the proceeds in favor of them going a charity (Reading Is Fundamental, which is a literacy program for children). :D

I am so getting me a pendant, because Awesome fans are just AWESOME!

CafePress is having a "Become a walking canvas for your favorite artist" promotion. This happens to be running on the same time I've finished making CafePress!OhShush all swank and Shiny! It's a theme apparently.

I'm not saying "BUY STUFFS!" on account of your money being yours and you can do with it as you like. But with Otakon being a stones throw away, it seems like every power in the universe is trying to make me not suck this year. Hmm, somewhat neat actually.

Also, you should just look at it, because it was no small task to throw together and I'm kinda proud of its non-sucktitude.

OH! Also, not poking or prodding or any sort of thing, just saying mentioning that this coincides with their whole $5 Flat Shipping deal. And since I'm totally needing to take advantage of that, so if you're inclined you could too.

God, I'm nearly out of Busines Cards too. Meanwhile Otakon is taunting me. Unfun.

As usual I'm just a wee-bit slower than the rest.

On May 22nd the infamous ban on photography in New York's subways was been officially declared dead. The MTA (Metropolitan Transit Authority) will not go forward with the ban. This marks a great victory for artists, civil rights supporters, and the NYPD (which had originally requested the rule change).

The New York Daily is reporting the death of the proposal to ban photography in subways. An excerpt follows:

"In the wake of the public comments period, after consulting with the NYPD, which had originally requested the rule change, MTA NYC Transit will not go forward with the institution of a photo ban," TA spokesman Charles Seaton said.

Not having a ban will not hinder the NYPD's efforts to safeguard the city's vast transit system, Browne said.

Color me proud/excited for my dingy little city.
[Except that, oh my god, the fucking cube is gone from St. Marks. Who Does That?!]

Since I don't feel like being too repetitive I'll just link to the last page of Armageddon Was A Wednesday - Part One )...which, I forgot to post saying I'd finally finished and it's available in print and everything ^_^

adds: A freakin' link would be genius. [http://www.cafepress.com/awaw_start]

A wee thank you doodle... because I had a beginning one. It just felt wrong not to have an end one. I love my muses, they defy gravity!
