Oh and how wierd - on our computers at work it says that "Valiant" isn't due out until September (and June in USA) so I was about to beg you for a favour (because I don't know the Simon and Schuster rep so not sure if I can wangle a proof) but then I checked Amazon and they are still saying June! I've started reading "Tithe" as I wanted to read it before "Valiant" came out. I didn't think it would be my kinda thing, which it isn't really, but I am reading it and I am liking it - just have to open up my mind to the possibilities and not go into it thinking "that will never happen so what's the point". Yep it's my bedtime and bus reading book.

I'm glad your reading Tithe regardless of your usual preference, , I mean really what's not to like. Plus, it'll make wrapping your head around Valiant that much more worthwhile, if that were something you'd be interested in.... vaguely, randomly... or something ^__^

I can't wait for it to come out already, I'm in need of a new bedtime and train reading book

Hey, I am bearer of possible bad news although you probably know better and I could be wrong. I called Simon and Schuster today to try and wangle a proof of Valiant - seeing as it has been delayed until September over here. She said they haven't got any proofs yet and I was correct in thinking it had been delayed (though didn't say why). So I asked if it had been delayed in USA too (as the computer still said June). She checked with someone else (they were all in the Children's part of S&S) and they said it has also been delayed in USA until September :(

I gave them our store address and asked them to send me a proof when they get one, though I realised afterwards that I don't think they took my name. Proofs don't always turn up so I'm not holding out for it. I'm thinking it's unlikely I will see it until it comes out, if it does in September.
