A bit of Nay:
Otakon held my check because it was made out to "Val France". Of course, they didn't get a hold of me to let me know. And that information they make us artists fill out in duplicate; USELESS. I haven't been a victim of this level of dumdassery since high-school.
A bit of Yay:
SoCo's Voodoo Music Experience is back in New Orleans for the first time since Katrina. While this might be very random to you, it is very-very fuckin' YAY to me XD

Right now, I really just want to break some faces things, blow off the East Coast and live in the bayou. >_>

There was a time when I wanted to go down there and stalk Anne Rice and Trent Reznor but now Trent's moved to LA since he sobered up and got off drugs. You want to get clean and sober so you decide to move to LA? I have to question that decision.

Are you going to the Placebo gig in New York November 7? I'm going to the Philly show the day before.

Oh, I sincerely doubt that. Not only had I not heard about it, but I won't have funds and I'm under the impression I will most likely be working. Such is that life sometimes. I'm not all that gutted about it. I mean I do love them but their latest hasn't been as significant to me as the rest were. Plus, the New York Venues they've been picking I HATE with a fiery passion. I mean seriously, time square. Talk about not pitching to your core audience.

of course if someone like my sister per se' were to either buy me tickets or offer to watch the kids, I might reconsider ^_^

Asshats.

Hey - if you're in a hard place, I can pay you whenever for what you're working on for me. Or pay half now, half when you're done - whatever. Email me, k? *hugs*

You know, that should have occurred to me but it totally didn't. I think mostly because I haven't figured out cost yet for the endeavor. That I had a few more question to ask you about it. I will get with the e-mailing. And thanks :D

No problem, sweets. I'll look forward to your email. :)

I was able to go to Voodoo in 2002 since I was knocking about that area for no good reason. (Dallas that is, for no good reason. There are many good reasons for going to New Orleans, not least that Garbage were playing that year. And I got to wander the city for a day, found a voodoo shop that I fell in love with, where the people behind the counter were calling me "Sweetie" by my third visit inside of a few hours. That was a damn good day. Can I trail after you to the bayou?)

Also, thank you so much for the invite, and damn you too, since I can't be there. Bloody Atlantic. *growls*

But of course you're more than invited to hide out in my curmudgeon backwater half-swamp mansion. It's where all the comics/anime is going; I'd expect you to follow. No good reason is the only reason to find your self in New Orleans!

No worries about the invite, silly. It's not that we thought any different so much as we [Me & Aria] wanted you to know we would have liked for you to have been there, that's all. You can still send a gift *nudge*nudge*wink*wink*

So,....... has the NaNo bug bit you yet? >XD
