I watched and wailed as my club was turned into a condo with an ajoining Sushi Bar.
...as my dive bars turned into yuppie student pick up joints...
...my local community center turned into a mini-mall...
...St. Marks turn into Camden...
...and now CBGB's turning into fucking fluff...



There is nothing right in my world when I have to commute 2^1/2 hours out of my way for a decent show.
What could be more depressing in the universe than sobering up on the train ride back from Brooklyn?!
I take that back, there's always Jersey. *shudders*

Speaking as an outsider it sucks to see what's happening to New York. It's turning into a yuppie suburb of Connecticuit. Damn Rudy, he started that shit when he cleaned up Times Square.

It's sick. It's that whole "you can never go home" thing, that I've never had to deal with when it came to an actual home but to have that feeling about an entire city. When I'm here, I can't STAND it, but I don't fit in anywhere else in the world. For short holidays? sure, but to live. It's just sick :(


If Giuliani hadn't had as many underworld connections to begin with he would have never stood a chance at being elected into office ever. Way to pay it back, asshole.
