Having just watched "Inception" for the second time, it's difficult to entertain the prospect of drawing of a scene from any other movie... but then comes the tougher choice of which scene, since I kinda love them all.

So, here is 13-hours of straight quick work, including a bit of something from nearly every scene, only not spoiler-y (if you can imagine such a thing!)

*I drew Cillian Murphy, Ken Watanabe + Dileep Rao as well. Even tried to add them to the piece but that just made it look busy... er. Posted late; cuz of a butt-load of Hi-Res scanning.
Full List )
Spoilers (in as vague a sense as possible for the film but) en mass for everything Else HULK )

Now, mind you, if you've read that and you're fine with it, you're in for a treat. If you're not a fan of smashing and bashing violence I don't know what would incline you to see the Hulk. 'Cuz as we all know "Hulk, SMASH!!"

The only thing better than having a second chance to catch finally Serenity in the theater, is finagling seating in a sold out show and being ushered in by Head-Organizers for showcasing my very best wibble expression, ever.

This is the first 'purely for Val enjoyment' thing I've done since,... damn well before I got on a plane. Take a Moment. Implode.

X-3 mastered a new an inventive type of god-awful-sucking. [Erin has a much clearer brain capacity to endure this THING!] It's been nearly a week since the viewing and I can't restrain myself from shouting at every advert I see. If it did do anything it encouraged me to gesture constantly and dramatically although not at all in a family-friendly sort of way. That's really all I've got to say about that...

Want to see a much better film?
"I'm EMO. I black my wrist and slash my eyes." - as quoted by my creepily and insightful 12-year-old nephew.
Three amazingly crap things about Lifes:
1] Spirit airlines taking my luggage to Florida, whilst I live in New York
2] Walking goddamn pneumonia.
3] Every electrical thing I own self-destructing one after another after another. Camera, laptop, PC, network, scanner, purifier, vacuum, etc. etc. etc.

Three horrendously yay things about Lifes:
1] Actually making it to [livejournal.com profile] blackholly New Years, with gifts, booze, wings and gown in tact. (Although I still have no photographic evidence of such a thing T_T)
2] Realizing that Death Cab for Cutie is my roadtrip band of destiny!!
3] Already cementing plans for next New Years, scheming [livejournal.com profile] theacidfairy, [livejournal.com profile] tier_luren & [livejournal.com profile] otemen into the mix. ...mmmmm,homemadesloegin...

Three book based movies that need to be slapped upside the head and love-ed simultaneously:
1] "Chronicles of Narnia - the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe". Edmund was poison by the witch's food! I mean seriously I'm all about the sugar cake's myself but I'd hardly sell my family up the river just for f*cking Turkish Delights.
Other revelations: I am so very Edmund and [livejournal.com profile] jlh is very Mr. Tumnus. I'm around her for less than three seconds and I want to do right despite my nature. She's just amazing in a way that doesn't belong to words.
2] "Tristan and Isolde". Okay, removing all sense of magic and mystery to make the story plausible is one thing. But having Iseult out live Tristan is out right silly.
3] "Brokeback Mountain". . . why haven't I seen this yet? What is wrong with me? It's getting to that point that there is no way it can live up to the hype and I very well may not see it at all. Yes, I think so =_=

Three alcoholic wonders:
1] "Eternal Kisses"; the evolved form of "Bloody Kisses".
2] "DonQ's - Coconut Rum". It is such a sinister shade of green and yet WOW.
3] The Bellevue being new and crap and crappily newer. You think it doesn't apply, but it does.

Things appear to have slowed down, marginally, aside from some impending dentistry, and I will finally be able to finish any and all outstanding commissions. Before the First of February even! *knocks on wood*

I felt I should say as much for any concerned/worried individuals. Lesse, what else... I feel like I'm forgetting something.

Onnafest!
Onnafest! has crawled up my skirt and will not come away dissatisfied. XD
I've conned the ever fabulous [livejournal.com profile] fatpuppy to come away with me, which is not only brilliant but oh-so-gratifying. I suppose I'm making up for having left Otakon a day early. That sat so ill with me... in any account, Yaoi-Con is coming up just behind her, Onnafest! I mean and I'm looking down the barrel of an incensed work/school schedule during and after. I should be scared, instead I feel a bit high. Too many cappuccinos' probably.

Also, I think I need Onnafest! for balance. Yaoi-Con being all-boy related, Onnafest! being all-girl related = happy overwhelmed me.
Counting Lunacon, that makes four conventions in one year, even though it was more a literary con, it may just be a record for me.

Which reminds me, Holly's 'Valiant' has come out finally. And it is levels of brilliant! I can't say why I really want everyone to go out and read this thing, just that you should! It will make your life fuller for one and it paints a picture of NYC like only street-urchins and deranged Faye can appreciate.

...and Holy Crap, while I've been swimming in the mixed feelings over Naruto's Cartoon Network debut, Nana premiered in Japan and it's doing so well, I want to fly to Tokyo just to see it! My need to see it is disastrous. Seriously, I've been pricing tickets like a fiend . . Bad, fan-girl... I did download some of the soundtrack, video, trailers, whatever I could get my hands on. Reira's performancs is so spot on for her character, considering she's trying to hide her american heritage, and Nana's performance on MTV2 is a bit forced, she didn't seem to get into it until the song was nearly over, which is sad but her casting otherwise is nothing short of brilliant. And Hachi, Hachiko is freakin' adorable!! It's all sooo good.

[after you join the community, you can search back through the calendar and find all sorts of downloadable goodness.]

The only thing, beside caffeine, that's pacifying me is {Proof}, which premiers this weekend. I'm still unsure of what drew me to the play four years ago, especially considering my hate for numbers, but I remember coming away from it feeling overwhelmed with a sense of reckless understanding.
That's a horrible sentence right there *sigh*
I can't think of a better way of explaining it, so there it is. I spent most of Friday night, searching Amazon for a decent copy of a first printing before they reissue it with Gwyneth 'tacky-ass' Paltrow on the cover. So many good books have been ruined by commercial movie packaging. For Example: Queen of the Damned :P
In any case, Anthony Hopkins and Jake Gyllenhaal are a dream cast for their parts, while I don't trust that Gwyneth will do the lead justice but I know she will do a sufficient job bantering off these two.

I finished another two pages in Adel's Query but I'm so unsatisfied with the end result I've scrapped them entirely and started over. Just those two pages, not the whole comic. I've dedicated the last week straight to meeting with people over projects, finishing commissions and squaring off school assignments. Its crappy timing but it can't be helped. Plus, I needed the cash for new markers ^^; I'm running so low, it's gone from 'not being funny' to 'being to hilarious to be literal'. Probably pick some up tomorrow, god-willing Pearl-Paint doesn't fudge me over again this month.

Dang, that's a lot of words and to say a whole lot of nothin' . . . so G.I.P!

belatedly: Yay! for foreign wives!! [livejournal.com profile] abrexis is in NYC. I haven't seen her yet but it feels so appropriate, I'm already giddy. ^__^
